Balenciaga has tapped Bella Swan as the face of an as-yet-unnamed fragrance launching this fall. Well, Nic, what do you have to say for yourself?

“Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence,” the designer told WWD. “From her early appearance in Panic Room to her independent choice of Welcome to the Rileys, I’ve always sensed her progressive character. In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”

Inspiration: Adir was inspired to create an up-do that felt like Kristen’s usual tousled, messy hair style with a touch of rockabilly class. The outcome was equally edgy and romantic.

How To Get the Look: Adir began by applying Fekkai Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel to the roots of the hair to build texture. He then applied Fekkai Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray throughout the rest of the hair and rough dried it to create a beachy base for the up-do. Adir then took random pieces and created standard braids, fishtail braids and twists throughout the hair in various sizes, leaving the very top of the hair loose. He then took all of the hair, except the loose bit, and knotted and twisted it to create an up-do. Hairpins gave the illusion of a very undone look. To finalize, Adir backcombed the front of the hair to add volume, pushed it back and pinned it in place. He secured the look by spraying with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Other big “winners” of the  night included Emma Stone who won Best Comedic Performance for her tour de force in Easy A and Justin Bieber for Best Jaw-Dropping Moment thanks to a lap dance in his seminal concert film, Never Say Never.

Meanwhile, Ellen Page‘s Oscar nomination for Juno clearly pales in comparison with the honor of the Best Scared as Shit award she took home for Inception. And last but certainly not least, dyed-in-the-wool movie star Reese Witherspoon took home the Generation Award in recognition of her “remarkable career.” Then they showed a bunch of clips from Legally Blonde. I personally hate Twilight, but I know some of you are totally addicted, this trailer is for you.

November is going to be an amazing month! I will admit that I love so many of these cheesy cult films, but I think that combined with my Kristen Stewart obsession that is really fueling my love for the Twilight Saga. I think this movie is going to be great, I’m so excited for November 20th!

LINK LOVE: Oh No They Didn’t

I know that 90% of the comments that stem from this QUEST are going to be along the lines of “ew Kristen Stewart is gross who cares about her” or “both movies are going to suck who cares”, but I’m more interested in seeing how people feel about the clothes and styling. I love Kristen Stewart, I think she’s gorgeous and a refreshing glimpse of normalcy, but with that out of the way lets get into the real question here.

The fashion aspect of Twilight is very eh, but I will say for the role that Kristen is playing it makes sense. It definitely fits in with the rest of the movie. I will say that some of the pieces she wears are pretty stylish and appropriate for a wardrobe that is supposed to  fit in with the setting of Washington state.

Now onto the upcoming movie The Runaways. There is a bit of a binding stipulation in this scenario, she has to play someone who really exists. The wardrobe is actually pretty cool, despite the terrible haircut she had to get). The pieces are heavy with leather and studs, and there are some that you could definitely pair and style into an amazing look.

My verdict? Well, I must say that the Twilight wardrobe is great and more natural looking on Kristen, but the fashion person inside of me can’t help but see the amazing potential in The Runaways wardrobe. The mix of denim, leather and studs is just way too bad ass and fun to style. The possibilities are endless!
