All jokes aside we’re loving how fashionable the little boy from Canada has gotten. Can we talk about the Dolce & Gabbana he’s wearing on the cover or the multitude of Mugler in the spread.

- Paris Hilton‘s smelling all the way to the bank. The heiress has been standing (and probably occasionally kneeling) on her own two  for some time now and she’s claimed that since 2005 her fragrances have brought in over $1 billion. If only I had gotten in on the sex tape market before that bubble burst. [Just Jared]

- Tumblr is getting into the editorial game, hiring a crack team of journalists to “help promote stories people write and share” on the popular blogging platform. Let’s talk about…reading

“In the age of the Internet, when collections and performances are so accessible to the public and anyone can post a review on Facebook or Twitter, shouldn’t columnists and reviewers, such as Cathy Horyn, employ a more modern and forward approach to criticism, one that separates them from the average individual at home on their laptop?” Gaga muses.

The Lady then goes on to refer to Tavi Gevinson and her “prodigious and well-written blog”as the future of journalism, at which point I threw up in my mouth. But she makes an interesting point, particularly with Fashion Week literally around the corner and bloggers the world over preparing to descend on New York en masse.

Every one has an opinion and can freely express it, so — Gaga wonders — “Why have we decided that one person’s opinion matters more than anyone else’s?”

Well, simply because not every opinion matters. Do I care what some 15-year old blogger in granny socks has to say about anything? Of course not. Does Cathy Horyn care what I have to say about anything? Of course not. And does Gaga care that Cathy Horyn unfollowed her on Twitter? Maybe.

But opinions are subjective. I value Cathy Horyn’s opinions, not because she’s a curmudgeon and hates everything/everyone — though that certainly helps — but because she’s a great journalist who’s not afraid to say what she believes in. And to then back it up.

At the end of the day, some opinions are valued more than others simply because when there are too many opinions, the subject being opined upon gets diluted. Rather, it becomes more important who’s giving the opinion than what the opinion is being given about.

Penelope Cruz recently posed for the cover of the Tranformation Issue of V Magazine, and the result is certainly transforming. No, really. I had the privilege of seeing the special edition cover in person, and it’s a hologram of multiple images of her face, all of them fabulous. The cover and editorial were shot by Mert & Marcus.

Despite the theme of the issue, Penelope’s take on her success is still as humble as ever. On fame she comments, “I refuse to call myself anything other than a working actress.” More like a WERQing actress.

When asked about her new Pirates of the Caribbean movie with Johnny Depp, she said, ”Johnny wears everything better than I do. He even wore a dress in the movie he did with Javier, Before Night Falls.” Excuse me, I’m off to Netflix to look that up. Enjoy these photos of Pene’s shoot while I’m gone.

Vogue Paris be damned — though it kind of already is — but I love that Carine is doing her own thing. Sister do it for yourself.

I love that Paris is rocking nude lipstick, a very difficult look to pull off. And could she actually be showing emotion with her eyes? Me thinks so and is fully engaged.

- Diva and pioneering androgyne Annie Lennox is getting a fashion retrospective at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. I hope patrons have to literally walk on broken glass throughout the exhibit. [Style.com]

Speaking with the New York Times, Gan said of Gaga:

- Lady Gaga will soon trade in her piano for a different kind of keyboard. Gags will be writing a monthly column for V Magazine, starting with the summer 2011 issue, which hits stands around mid May. If the shots are any inkling to what Femme Fatale is going t sound like then we are in for a treat.

TOM FORD: I told myself that I would not come back to ?women’s fashion until I felt I had something new to say. I feel that fashion has become too serious and that the actual customer’s needs have not really been addressed. Fashion needs to make one happy. It is a luxury and should enhance one’s quality of life.

Portman has previously been a bit shy about showing off her skin. (Minus that Wes Anderson short film, Hotel Chevalier.

On baring her body, Portman says: ”It’s annoying, because online bullsh*t interferes with what I want to do artistically. I’m not opposed to sexuality or nudity in a film, but I’m very opposed to pornography sites and you’re pretty much giving them material if you do any of that. It’s always a big dilemma for me.”

I totally understand. I hated it when I found a naked picture of my face on top of a naked baby.

It’s just weird.
