Rachel Bilson came out to support French fashion designer Vanessa Bruno during a private dinner at Chateau Marmont on Wednesday (July 21) in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old actress, who wore a super cute VB jacket, was accompanied by her stylist, Nicole Chavez (pictured above). What a cute twosome they are!

This particular grouping is featured in Elle's July issue. The article makes reference to Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and her sort of gothic, gyspsy style. While that trend is usually not my thing, I actually like all of the related items. The Vanessa Bruno dress would look great with the Ralph Lauren boots topped off with a black, cropped leather jacket. The “dip-dyed” look of the Iosselliani necklace makes it appear as a fabulous work of art. While I love the Etro bag, if I had to choose between that and Dolce & Gabbana's “charm” bag, I'd have to choose the latter. Not only is it unique, but it's just downright interesting. I would love to see it up close and inspect each and every charm! I'm going to take it on as a diy project…..I'll try and find a large hobo and add some of the vintage charms and bits that I have lying around the house. Whenever I put it together, I'll make sure that I take a picture and include it in a post.

Black and white has made a surprise appearance during the spring/summer 2010 shows this Fashion Week in Paris. Among shades of beige and color, the black & white combo has been seen head to toe— well, head to knee in the case of Vanessa Bruno, whose collection showcased a number of stretch lace knee-pads.
White isn’t a stranger to the warmer months, but most people tend to stray from dark colors like black when the sun is out. Will you be wearing this black and white pairing come next season?

Vanessa Bruno Fall 2009 might have leaned to the simpler side of edgy, but her collection definitely had some pieces worth mentioning. First and foremost, I am a huge fan of her subtle military look for this collection. Gold shoulder detailing gave the feeling of military tassels while leather belt-bags hinted at traveling troops. The modest draped tops and mainstream leather leggings were spiced up with baggy, belted knee-high leather boots and pull-over knit caps, both reminiscent of the military. Bruno’s collection was the perfect amount of edge and simplicity, making for a beautifully wearable collection come fall.
