Apparently, the women’s designer department of the Chelsea Loehmann’s has tons of merchandise from the Barny’s sale.
Megan Fox to Replace Beyonce in Armani Fragrance Ads

Derek Blasberg reports: “Word on the casting couch is that [Fox] is taking over the [Armani] fragrance campaign for Beyonce, AND the fashion campaign also. This, after a Fox bidding war with none other than Versace.”
MOMENT OF STYLE: Diane Kruger

As always, Diane never fails to amaze, especially not in this custom Versace number…

SPREAD UM: “F For Furry” For 10 Magazine May 2009
PETA might not be a fan of 10 Magazine’s most recent spread, “F For Furry,” but I’m all about the natural cityscape, seemingly amateur spread shot by Marcelo Krasilcic. Model Valeria Dmitrienko is dressed to the nines in immaculate fur pieces from designers Gareth Pugh, Roberto Cavalli, Todd Lynn, Antonio Berardi, Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier. From the looks of the wet, Parisian cobblestone streets, the editorial probably saw a bit of rain (unless it was staged) but heck girl, you better not have rocked those pelts in the rain!

SPREAD UM: Heidi Klum for Vogue Germany

Heidi Klum stars in the latest issue of German Vogue. Titled “Rodeo Drive” and shot by Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer, Heidi wears looks from Atelier Versace and Christian Dior.
Home Sweet Home: Julia Roitfeld’s NY Fashion Paradise
Imagine waking up in your secluded New York apartment, your Yves Saint Laurent scented skin caressing your crisp, white Egyptian cotton sheets. Before heading to your extensive designer shoe collection to begin the day’s outfit choosing process, you trip on three years worth of French Vogue magazines and curse your mother for fabulously stacking them in the corner. While dressing, you choose the Versace gladiator sandals, a few vintage accessories and your Louis Vuitton blanket, just incase you opt for a brief picnic in Central Park. You are not human. You are Julia Roitfeld, Carine Roitfeld’s very own flesh and blood. Everyone wants to be be you. But nobody can. Instead, they choose to live vicariously through photos of your incredible apartment.
Any chance you offer tours of your closet?

SPREAD UM: Ginnifer Goodwin by Steven Klein for W, June 2009

The June 2009 feature editorial in W Magazine is a bold choice – not just for cover girl Ginnifer Goodwin, who just seems so clean and normal to me (I mean, she was in a campaign for The Gap!), but also for the magazine itself. (Previous cover stars this year include Madonna and Brad Pitt).
Nevertheless, it’s a good move, even if just for the principle of being different. On the belly-baring cover, Goodwin wears a Versace jacket and Balenciaga breifs.
Steven Klein shot the Big Love star for the accompanying “Not So Goodwin” spread, perhaps to try to break down some walls. Male models, including Marlon Teixeira, also feature in the sexy editorial, whose styling still seems a little Amy Winehouse-inspired (big hair, tiny clothes, dirty faces).

Models At The Met
Being exposed, first hand, to all the glorious fashions from runway shows and editorials, one would think that models would steal the the best dressed award on last night’s Met Gala red carpet. While Chanel Iman, in her stunning Zac Posen dress, was a show stopping attendee, Shalom Harlow looked rather homeless and out of place in her crumpled, Gareth Pugh-ish garbage bag. Brooke Shields looked like a mermaid body builder. Agyness Deyn was an over-bronzed transvestite. Brooklyn Decker rocked out a Mary-Kate worthy outfit. All in all, the model fashion was skewed across the board. Tsk tsk…I expected big things from such fashion relatives.

Blake Lively at the MET Gala
Blake Lively finally wore her hair differently (pulled back), while wearing a silk Versace gown to the Met Gala last night. Love the color of the dress, but way over the one shoulder look…
Project Blue

A new, limited-edition recycled denim collection, arriving just in time for the Earth Day fuss, has united Alexander Wang, Bottega Veneta, Derek Lam, Rodarte, Rogan, Stella McCartney, Versace, and Ann Demeulemeester.
Last summer Barney’s New York collected recycled denim, which these top designers have fashioned into outfits. The exclusive designs, now in a window display at Barney’s, will go up for auction on eBay April 30, starting at 99 cents each. All proceeds will benefit Oceana, “the largest international advocacy organization focused 100 percent on protecting and restoring the world’s oceans.”
ELLE has even chipped in with a David Armstrong-shot editorial in their May 2009 issue.
Project Blue is working on the stat that less than 2% of clothing thrown out in the US is actually worn out. Alternatives, of course, include buying and giving away used clothes, or re-fashioning and re-purposing old clothing, as these featured designers have done.

SPREAD UM: Claudia Schiffer for Vogue UK, April 2009

The rest of Claudia Schiffer’s shoot for the April 2009 issue of Vogue UK has been released.
Wearing Versace on the (kind of boring) cover, Claudia has a more interesting spread inside, with an Hermes poncho, black Louis Vuitton dress, and of course the Balmain military vest.

You’ll Need $3 Million For That Tiara

I hope you’re all ready to bid for this masterpiece. Formerly Madonna’s, the Versace tiara is now set for auction! The auction, set on March 23rd, is sure to be a great fundraiser to help the search to stop AIDS. 1,200 diamonds graze the surface of this headpiece. But don’t worry, it’s only 3 million dollars.
Thanks StyleFrizz
BEHIND THE BEAUTY: Versace Fall 09

My favorite Makeup Artist Pat McGrath did it again…she really glammed up the makeup for Versace Ready-To -Wear Fall 2009 fashion show. McGrath mimicked Donatella Versace’s everyday smoky look when she did the makeup on the models. Personally this is my favorite style of makeup; I love it on my clients, on photo shoots and myself. This smoky intense black eye can work well on everybody if done correctly.
McGrath put together shiny black and dark blue powders on the socket and underneath the eye. She accentuated the crease of the eyes with a shimmery pink powder blending it right under the brow bone. To give it that wow factor she applied black false eyelashes. She used black eyeliner very heavily and she also filled in the models brows for definition. On the cheeks she re-used that same shimmery pink powder and a second pale matte pink blush. A liquid pearlized highlighter right above the check bone to help bring focus to eyes. McGrath finished this sexy glamor look with a nude gloss.
I think this may be the look I will wear tonight…with exception of taking the black shadow all the way out to the socket.
BEHIND THE BEAUTY: June 08 Vogue Featuring Sarah Jessica Parker

I was feeling a little SEX AND THE CITY: with Fashion Week wrapped up in NYC. So today I re-picked up one of my “keeper” magazine, the June 2008 issue of Vogue with Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover and a spread featuring her and Chris Noth.
GALLERY: SJP and Chris Noth for Vogue
SJP’s makeup was flawless, the locations were beautiful, as were her designer dresses; some of my favorites; the Nina Ricci emerald green silk-satin dress, the Versace chiffon dress and the Chanel boucle’ suit, the Lanvin hat and Philip Crangi for Vera Wang cuff bracelet were all so lavish and girlie regal…and how can I forget about those Christian Louboutin pumps!
In the movie, she wore two amazing wedding dresses that was such a WOW factor for me. The elegant Vera Wang wedding dress and the Dior Haute Couture jacket and skirt were just breath taking.
So for all of you SJP/Carrie fans, I have a treat for you. Below you will find a video of behind the scene footage from the VOGUE Magazine shoot as well as a makeup list that Makeup Artist Judy Chin used on SJP for the movie.
