Every May, celebs from all around fly to the French Riviera for one of the most prestigious art gatherings of the year. We are obviously watching the Cannes red carpet quite closely, and the fest was kicked-off with a dazzling display of black ball gowns. The Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s annual Costume Institute Gala is tirelessly referred to as the Oscars of fashion and it certainly ranks as the industry’s glitziest and most glamorous night. When one thinks “luxury,” H&M is perhaps not the first brand to pop into one’s head, despite high-profile high fashion collaborations with Versace, Lanvin and most recently Marni. Well, all that might change as the fast fashion retailer is rumored to be planning a luxury brand all its own.
