New York already cut it out, but now Paris is playing this game too. The game is Peek-a-Boo and the goal is to show enough without showing everything. These are little slits that come in slight shapes, some veiled, some open straight to skin. These open slivers are the sexiest pseudo-exhibitionist cuts to come off of the Paris runway.

The fashion show has evolved from its earliest incarnations in the salons of department stores into the opulent, theatrical, exorbitant circuses they are now. Over the past ten years, especially, the fashion show has become a multi-media juggernaut, as crucial to a designer’s collections as the collection itself.
Along with its commercial peak, fashion shows have also reached their creative peaks – moving, visceral, dramatic productions that have elevated them into an art form. Alexander McQueen emerged as the true master of the genre, blending the disparate elements of entertainment and ideology while creating beautiful works of clothing that could stand on their own without the hype and hoopla with which he was so famously associated.
Below is a list of the 10 fashion shows that stand as the greatest achievements of the last decade, based on their technicality and theatricality, their influence on fashion and of course, the clothes themselves.

As a Fashion photographer for 25+ years, I have had the privilege of being exposed to a wide panoply of incredibly talented photographers and fashion designers. There are several venues around the world that feature young up and coming artists, as well as confirmed professionals. One of the festivals that has been in existence for 25+ years as well is The International Fashion and Photography Festival of Hyères ,France. The Festival runs from April 29th to May 2nd 2011 and the Exhibition runs from April 30th to May 29th 2011.
