While awards season may officially be over and all the trophies have been effectively snatched, there are still some award-caliber movies floating around. So in that spirit, we decided to dole out some awards of our own to the best fashion films. And may the best short…WIN!

Yves Saint Laurent is showing their manly side this spring with its first menswear ad campaign in almost five years. The last time YSL ran a menswear campaign was for fall 2007 when Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot industrial designer Marc Newsom. Reflecting, according to the house of YSL, the continued global growth of its men’s wear line, Stefano Pilati signed on David Sims to capture model Baptiste Radufe for spring 2012.

Bieber Fever has rendered the FashionIndie office completely incapacitated on several occasions since the mop-topped pop tot two-stepped his way into the cultural zeitgeist. Another such attack overtook us yesterday and the result was a shot-for-shot recreation of Justin Bieber‘s V Magazine shoot by celebrated lens duo, Inez and Vinoodh – starring yours truly as the model in question. ‘Twas a success, though my body still feels ravaged by the effects of the Fever and I’ll need a conspicuously inappropriate shopping trip with Mariah Carey just to recover. For their new men’s fragrance, the design duo of Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren – other wise known as Viktor & Rolf — decided to spice things up a bit. “We felt that if flowers were a very typical feminine scent, spices were the masculine opposite,” Snoeren told WWD, referring to their hit women’s scent Flowerbomb. And thus they begat Spicebomb .

I’ll admit it, I haven’t been on the Arizona Muse train since it left the station last year. I just didn’t get it — pretty girl, dime a dozen, on to the next one. But the Muse has taken a giant stride in winning me over in October’s Vogue Paris as she grins and bares her teeth, guffawing all over the place for Inez and Vinoodh. Suzanne Koller handles the styling duties, which includes that ubiquitous Salvatore Ferragamo Houndstooth dress. Throughout it all, Arizona is giving face while bearing a striking resemblance to a young Lauren Bacall.
