I’m not exactly sure if I would go as far as painting a moustache on my face prior to a night on the town, but there is something very intriguing about the moustache trend. Recently, models on the runway, in fashion spreads and editorials have been flaunting little black moustaches. If you ask me, I think the reason behind this is to extract the subtle masculine features from certain garments.  The trend has even gone as far as inspiring moustache parties and this years first Moustache Fashion Week. Okay, the fake stick on moustaches are awfully tacky, but I’m loving the painted little French curls on the runway and in magazines! But keep it at that…I don’t know if I can handle fake beards or side-burns…

Kate Takes On Ms. Vivienne Westwood

Rumor has it there’s a new movie in the works! Production is underway about the life of Vivienne Westwood. Who will play the star-studded designer? None other then Kate Winslet! According to British Marie Claire, the designer’s managing director made a few comments about the upcoming film to guests at Vivienne’s show.

“Kate Winslet will play Vivienne from the 70s to present day.”

Though no one has quite caught the film in action or behind the scenes, it seems as though it’s pretty definite. Universal has been rumored to be picking up the film, but there was no confirmation on part of either party (Universal or Winslet).

Style Icons: Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung was one Brit who got in and out of the fashion game at a young age. Finally making her runway return for Vivienne Westwood during London Fashion Week, makes me think that the influence she has had on the industry isn’t fading anytime soon. When she “gave up” modeling for art years ago, saying that she would rather have a big brain than little bones, she never really gave up being stylish. Though I haven’t seen a very big change in her body, bowing out grcefully only to return on top again will definately make her a remembered name in the lifetime story that is fashion.

Pamela Anderson raised her own crazy bar by showing up to the Vivienne Westwood show with this creepy masked man. People are suspecting that the crazy masked man, might be crazy singer Micheal Jackson. Either way Pam has a one way ticket to Liz Taylor crazy train. ALL ABOARD!
