The loving patriarch of the Jackson clan is not only planning a “tribute” Michael Jackson perfume, but also a line of ice cream that will smell and taste like the embodiment of sadness, respectively. Now that New York Fashion Week is over, it’s time to reflect, reevaluate and recuperate. My fellow editors and I dumped out the contents of our bags to document our Fashion Week experience, or at least what we remember that wasn’t wiped out by excessive drinking and turning.

Professional smacktalker, bespoked gentleman and occasional rapper, Kanye West covers VMAN‘s 21st issue. The cover, shot by none other than Karl Lagerfeld comes with actual dollar bills stuffed into the superstar’s diamond-encrusted grill, meaning that for once it will be worthwhile to pay attention to what comes out of Kanye West’s mouth.

It’s been reported that the reclusive one has decided to quit acting for good to pursue a full-time career in the fashion industry. This comes as no surprise and I would think that most people would have already come to that conclusion since she hasn’t really acted since “New York Minute”. Anyway, Ashley tells V Man Magazine:
“I’ve been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I’m choosing for myself – to be part of the fashion industry. That’s what I want for my future. It has nothing to do with my past, nothing to do with anyone else’s agenda. And I followed my heart the whole way.”
While she and Mary-Kate will continue to collaborate on their line, The Row, she’ll be much more involved in the creative process as well as expanding the line into menswear later this year. I suspect that with her current fashion icon status and keen sense of style that she can definitely be a success and squelch any belief that their collection is just another celebrity line.
