‘Twas one hell of a year for fashion, 2011.  Alexander McQueen triumphed this year thanks to a pair of well-documented dresses and a bona fide cultural phenomenon at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Christian Dior tried to rebound from a potential PR nightmare, to varying degrees of success. Diffusion lines easily out-shined their designer homes.  An editrix reinvented herself amidst a sea of rumors without losing a beat.  And underaged fashionistas grew up in front of our very eyes. RED CARPET REPORT CARD: Best & Worst of the 2011 VMAs

I was way too involved in a Twin Peaks marathon yesterday evening to even consider watching the 2011 VMAs, but curiosity got the best of me this morning after finding out Beyoncé is pregnant. Trash usually trumps triumph at any MTV event, and the red carpet stayed true to this formula at last night’s show. There were some highs*, and many lows, and we’re here to talk about them all in this VMA edition of Red Carpet Report Card.

The Academy Awards are over and with it, awards season, leaving a trophy-sized hole in all our hearts. The fashion was a hit, the show was a miss but god bless Anne Hathaway for trying and James Franco for showing up.

Big Surprise Kanye Acts Like A Jackass

Kanye strikes again, and as much as I hate him he is a bit smart.

We’ll start with what he did. Taylor Swift won an award at the VMA’s for best video. As she was giving her speech, Kanye jumped on stage, took the mic from the poor girl, and proceeded to say that it was terrible that Taylor won the award and that Beyonce had the best video of the year.

I’ll start off by saying thank you Kanye for letting us all know what you think, now if you could kindly sit down and shut your mouth that would be great. I will say however, with Kanye not being in the spotlight too much lately this really helps. He’s already a trending topic on Twitter, and you know he’ll be all over every gossip site in minutes.
