SPREAD UM: Cato Van Ee for Vogue Germany September ‘09

Cato stars in this diverse editorial photographed by Olaf Wipperfürth. Half naughty, half nice, leather thigh high boots and nude stockings with suggestive black seams are successfully mixed with ethereal white jumpsuits, dresses and classic pearls. Titled “Supernatural”, and with clothes fit for a sexy superhero an alluring personality has been crafted here.

MAG HAG: Anja Rubik for Vogue Germany September ‘09 by Alexi Lubomirski
Anja Rubik successfully persuades us to go shopping on the cover Vogue Germany this September cover. It’s always a job well done when a model makes the cover.

FASHION PORN: Laura Blokhina and Queeny van der Zandeby by Knoepfel & Indlekofer for Vogue Germany
Feeling an overload of Lolita vibes from the setting of this playground editorial, but not the styling. Maybe a gothic version of Lolita, with patent leather thigh high boots, lace thigh highs and and black lingerie. Notice the mention of accessories only, meaning lots of nudity and of course pretty hair bows. Like a nude beach, but a nude playground? Not sure how well that would fly with most parents but a perfect fit for Vogue Germany.

SPREAD UM: Vogue Germany May 09

An unknown model stars in a circus themed editorial for Vogue Germany, photographed by Koto Bolofo.
SPREAD UM: Stil-Stark, Vogue Germany, May 2009

Tesh shot Elena Melnik for this sleek editorial in the May 2009 issue of Vogue Germany.
Matador-inspired, yet still feminine, “Stil-Stark,” makes harem pants, absurdly high-waisted pants, and a single gold hoop earring, seem chic and doable, not costumey or pirate-like.

SPREAD UM: Heidi Klum for Vogue Germany

Heidi Klum stars in the latest issue of German Vogue. Titled “Rodeo Drive” and shot by Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer, Heidi wears looks from Atelier Versace and Christian Dior.
Heidi Klum Poses for German Vogue

Looks like Heidi will appear in an upcoming issue of German Vogue with a spread revolving around shoes, or foot fetishes. Love the dress above, but not sure about the platform shoe/leggings, those don’t look too comfy. Also, did anyone notice that Heidi looks like Madonna in the third photo? Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, prob bad since M has about 10+ years on Klum.

SPREAD UM: Doutzen Kroes for Vogue Germany

What a difference a perm makes!
I almost don’t recognize Doutzen Kroes with curly hair (and wearing Ralph Lauren Spring 2009) on the cover of the April 2009 issue of Vogue Germany.
The cover and “Grand Glam” editorial were shot by Alexi Lubomirski.

SPREAD UM: Mild West Shot by Greg Kadel for German Vogue, March 09

I have been so into the western/southern rock/down and dirty fashion lately. I love the contradiction between model Toni Garrn’s look and the rugged background she’s being photographed in. The leather pieces look fantastic; I’m hardcore digging the fringed leather gloves. Greg Kadel did a great job of bringing the desert to life in this spread. Looks like the fringe boots will be glued to my feet yet again this week.

Vogue Germany follows the advice of Madonna in their “Express Yourself” editorial in the October 2008 issue.
Photographer Ben Hassett captures model Karmen Pedaru ‘expressing’ herself with playful and, at times, pretty silly poses and gestures.
