Coachella wasn’t the only fashion-forward festival going down this weekend. On the other side of the pond industry luminaries — ranging from Tom Ford and bff Stella McCartney, to Diane von Furstenbreg and Dolce & Gabbana and Natalia Vodianova and Rachel Zoe – regaled attendees of the inaugural Vogue Festival with advice and anecdotes on a series of panels during the two-day event. I don’t know about you, but personally, I’m tired of hearing about who may possibly be taking over Christian Dior after everyone from Carine Roitfeld to Riccardo Tisci to recently ousted Jil Sander frontman Raf Simons has been rumored for the position. Hell, even I was considered at some point. But nevertheless, here’s a familiar name to throw back into the ring: Haider Ackermann.

Scottish-born designer Jonathan Saunders beat out eight other designers including Mary Katrantzou, Marios Schwab and Nicholas Kirkwood to take home the British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award.

Having paged through my fair share of Vogues since acquiring my first issue some ten years ago, I’ve picked up a trick or two. There are certain poses models always do – poses that are “classic Vogue.” So to master these is to get one horse-like step closer to those hallowed, glossy editorial pages.

Miu Miu has added another actress to its roster of campaign stars. Having previously featured the likes of Drew Barrymore, Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst and most recently Hailee Steinfeld, Prada’s little sis tapped Aussie thespian Mia Wasikowska for its spring 2012 campaign.

Kate Moss has done Davie Bowie for a Vogue cover before, lest we remind you of this stunner from Vogue UK‘s May 2003 issue. And god (i.e. Anna Wintour) knows Vogue Paris covers have only been decent to pretty good since Emmanuelle Alt took over the reins earlier this year, but nothing quite gasp-worthy.

Months ago, Christian Louboutin attempted to sue Yves Saint Laurent over a red shoe with a red sole, saying the red sole is Louboutin’s “trademark.” While the rest of the world was saying “bitch please,” Tiffany & Co stepped forward saying they understand the importance of a signature color and wouldn’t want anyone to copy their hallmark baby blue.
