Joining Karolina Kurkova on the knocked-up models list is 18-year-old beauty Jourdan Dunn. Confirmed by Vogue UK, Dunn is almost six months pregnant with her boyfriend of several years’ baby. Despite the claims that Dunn will continue modeling after giving birth, I’ve got a feeling that this barely legal lady’s career is over. Sorry Dunn, but swollen boobs and post-pregnancy chub don’t quite cut it in the modeling world. But hey, if you can somehow manage to regain your beautiful physique in a healthy way, all the power to you!

“My agency thought that I might never do shows, because I was a bit shorter and not skinny enough,” Vodianova revealed of her early career. “But what happened was; when I gave birth to my first son I was 19, so I lost a lot of weight. I guess the stress on the body was extreme and I suddenly just turned into this stick — just the way designers love models — and after Lucas was born that’s when my career took off. Beth Ditto has been transformed into a limited-edition doll that will promote her upcoming clothing line for the British plus-sized clothing chain Evans. “Ditto’s curves have been translated into pint-sized proportions,” says Vogue UK in its writeup of the doll. Surprisingly, that is possible!

I am obsessed with this spread in the March issue of Vogue UK. Aggy Deyn looks amazing in acidic colors and red lipstick. Her hair looks fabulous, and she can do no wrong in these outfits. I always think Aggy is soooo overrated, but she definitely lived up to her name in this spread. I don’t know if Demarchelier or the stylist is responsible, but it was a magnificent 3-team effort here.

Lily Donaldson makes her outfits come alive in the spread “Fringe Festival” shot by Nick Knight for Vogue UK. I love that everything in the photos seems to be in motion; her dresses, hair and limbs are flying around in midair giving the illusion of extreme movement. My favorite dresses are most definitely the last two; she slightly reminds me of Big Bird in the second photo.

Vogue UK recently shot an editorial re-creating some of Roald Dahl’s finest children’s works of the 20th century. With big names like Tim Burton, Jamie Bell and Helena Bonham Carter as the faces appearing in the print version of “James and the Giant Peach” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” photographer Tim Walker and Vogue’s aesthetic was creative and reminiscent of these childhood stories. 

The photo pictured above actually stirred up quite a bit of controversy, critics crying that the shot in the editorial wasn’t “original.” The original image was actually, shot by Philippe Halsman, a 20th century photographer and Salvador Dali inspired surrealist. Well original idea or not, I love this fashion inspired interpretation! Isn’t this what re-creation is all about?
