We posted the cover last week, questioning the importance of Cameron Diaz as a cover girl…Here’s a look inside.

Model Suvi Koponen gets the colorful treatment by photographer Richard Burbridge in this spread for the May Issue of Italian Vogue. It’s a crazy mix of color and the seasons latest trends that seems like a total dream/lsd trip. What’s really cool though is that Suvi is the winners of Finland’s Next Top Model, proof that while it doesn’t actually help girls in America, it’s doing wonders for those outside of the Eye of Tyrauron glaze.

Why is Cameron Diaz On the Cover of Vogue?

Why is Cameron Diaz On the Cover of Vogue? magazines

Let’s analyze this…Vogue is a fashion magazine, so those featured on the cover must technically have something to do with fashion. Next, What has Cameron done lately? We haven’t seen her at any award shows, cuz she hasn’t done any movies, cuz she disappeared after her breakup with Justin Timerlake. Also, the green issue? Yes, Cameron did buy the first Prius a while back, and so what, so have tons of other celebs. Oh, and didn’t Anna promise us a model for the next issue? Guess she lied.

MAG HAG: Heidi Klum for German Vogue

MAG HAG: Heidi Klum for German Vogue magazines

The ubiquitous Heidi Klum has been busy lately — not only making a new baby, but also shooting an entire issue of German Vogue. The June 2009 “Heidi by Vogue” issue features the supermodel in a handful of editorials, shot by Francesco Carrozzini, Paola Kudacki, and more.

We have a small sneak peek at the editorials in the gallery.

A de-eyebrowed Sasha Pivovarova posed for Steven Meisel for the May 2009 issue of Vogue Italia.

It’s a good cover just on fashion principle alone. Unlike virtually every spring issue cover, the colors are neutral and based in earth tones, and the model is all bundled up. It stands out for not standing out.  The accompanying spread, “Moroccan Holiday,” is similarly styled with unusual color palettes and muted luxury.

Vogue Needs To Cut This Shit Out! magazines

Vogue Enfants (aka kids) is probably one of the dumbest, borderline sketchiest thing ever. If you’re going to the store and buying a kids fashion magazine you’re probably going to land your pedophile ass in jail. Don’t worry though you’re in better shape than the dude with a subscription to this shit. That dude has his phones tapped and monitored. I don’t know any kid this age who is so consumed in fashion that they even want to read this mag. I know there are probably pyscho upper east side mothers who buy this waste of paper to see what they should buy there kids, but either way it’s rediculous. Even sketchier are the 10 year old models in this magazine, because getting them into the harsh modeling world early won’t fuck them up for the rest of their lives!

Matt Irwin took a shot at making Vicky’s girls even sexier than they already are. Shot for Russian Vogue, this spread features our favorite angels is some pretty hot looks. Bondage and leather get their fair share of attention in this pulse racing spread. Julia Stegner, Doutzen Kroes, and Angela Lindvall made the cut for this steamy little spread.

Vogue Lies to its Readers magazines

Vogue was offering new subscribers a “Special Online Offer,” an “exclusive red handbag free,” but that was a lie, since the readers received something different then what was promised.

FROM THE POST:

‘The image, which accompanies this Web ad shows what appears to be a red leather bag with a crocodile embossment and a clasp with over-the-shoulder straps.

Instead what shows up in the mail in a standard 8 in. by 10 in. polybag, is a red canvass bag with “pleather” handles about the size of a small gym bag.

The bag also has “pleather” patches on the bottom corners and a zipper closure. Neither of these features appear in the online bag.’

Another feature in the Models Issue of Vogue May 2009 is “Meet the Boyfriends.”

Pretty straightforward — Patrick Demarchelier photographed six top models with their boyfriends: Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, Arlenis Sosa, Julia Stegner, Caroline Trentini, and Anna Jagodzinska.

Cutest part: Caroline is dating the photographer’s son! And even though she’s clearly posing, this shot is my favorite because it seems the most authentic and least modelly.

The May 2009 issue of Vogue is the Steven Meisel-shot “Model Issue,” and features a pull-out cover with “The Faces of the Moment.” (Is it just me, or is Natalia Vodianova having the longest moment ever?!)

It’s great, of course, to see models on a US cover (especially since not one of them is American!) but so many of these names are established already.

The cover features Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Jagodzinska, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly.

Something about seeing Gareth Pugh everywhere is throwing me off. Dude is on fire!!! I just hope to see some of his stuff in person someday, I feel like touching it in person will be the closest I get to realizing that female Stormtrooper fantasy itch I need to scratch. Yeah, I’m odd like that…

As I sit here, staring at my failed attempt of an edgy college dorm transformation, I cannot help but imagine my future SoHo apartment or the decor of Vogue when I replace Anna Wintour. I’m planning on some enormous skylights, exposed brick walls, wood floors and an eclectic array of mix-matched furniture and art. For now, the grimy bathtub and excruciating fluorescent lighting will have to do, but who says a girl can’t plan ahead? I’ve started to gather inspiration from some of my favorite designers, models and writers, photographed by Todd Selby, in their homes and workspaces. Thanks to The Selby, who photographs “interesting people in creative spaces” I can live vicariously through others until I get my big break. Adele Gets Ano for Vogue

Adele Gets Ano for Vogue magazines

It’s amazing what a little contorted posing and photoshop (I’m assuming) can do for an overweight songbird. Adele is the latest chunk monster to get Voguefied. Annie Leibovitz shot this image of the recent Grammy winner, creating a shape that is a far, far cry for her normal build. Arms stretched, laying on the bed angularly while wearing all black and holding your cheek chunk back while trying to look comfortable is not a shape, it’s a yoga move, but it’s definitely not a shape.

Why can’t Vogue take the route of a soon to be more successful magazine (LOVE) and just shoot the fat girls like their fat? What’s so wrong with showcasing a couple rolls?

For those who don’t know what Adele really looks like with out the Vogue retouching there’s a photo below.

Beyonce Italian Vogue April 09

Another Vogue. Another shoot featuring Beyonce. Of course this one is about a thousand times better than the one shot for American Vogue. How sad for Annie. Here Beyonce attempts her best Marilyn Monroe, only slightly more lifeless..
