These five substances were banned by the government in 2010. But you never know, they could be available from your local drug dealer in the new year!

1. Four Loko

What is it? Four Loko, also known as Blackout In A Can, is a caffeinated, alcoholic, malt beverage that has recently been banned in multiple states after it caused a Central Washington University student to have a heart attack.

2. K2

What is it? K2 was a popular and legal synthetic form of marijuana until it was banned in 2010 as more and more K2 users were admitted into hospitals for nasty side effects

3. Darvocet

What is it? Darvocet was a popular painkiller used by 10 million Americans and was banned in 2010 due to increasing reports of deaths that resulted from heart-related side effects.

4. Mephedrone

What is it? This popular party drug also known as “meow meow” was sold throughout the U.K. and Europe over the Internet, posing as bath salts and plant food. It was eventually banned in 2010 when police caught on as “meph” related deaths began to spread.

5. Meridia

What is it? A weight loss drug whose users most likely believed it was a quick fix to get healthy. It was finally banned in 2010 when it was found to exacerbate heart conditions and actually encouraged the heart to have a stroke or a heart attack.

Crystal Renn Is Not Afraid to Exercise Anymore

Model Crystal Renn was afraid of exercising after taking it too far when battling anorexia. But she’s back in the saddle and looking great.

Renn told NY Magazine:

In the past, I avoided exercise because it brought back terrible feelings. I wasn’t ready. And I was scared that maybe I was going to be addicted again. That’s a fear that goes through your mind, whenever you’re getting over an addiction or a disease like anorexia, yeah, I absolutely was worried. But then I guess you could say my life changed in a really drastic way. For one, there was a split-up that I went through that was very difficult, and I thought, “You know what? I need to be in a good place. I need to find me again.” So I went with my grandmother to Patagonia. One of the things on my list was to go to this place, after seeing it in a Vogue issue with Caroline Trentini. I said, “I’m going to go there.” And I went backpacking for three weeks and I came back and I had lost some weight. And basically I’ve been traveling ever since. This is just how my body is now. It’s great. I have to be honest, when I was a size 12, I was just like, “This is how it is. Just accept it, like, love it. And I did.” And then to have it change all over again, it’s kind of been an adjustment for me. It’s been strange, actually, because it’s not something I’ve been trying to do.

50 Cent Regains Weight Lost From Movie Role

Fans of 50 Cent were shocked when the rapper posted a picture of himself looking somewhat sickly for a movie role. In the picture, the rapper looked much smaller than his normal size but he has revealed that he’s back to his regular weight and is still hitting the gym to regulate his size. “I’m now 210. I was a little fat boy, but I’m back at the gym,” 50 Cent explained to US Magazine. “At my maximum weight I was 214. In the actual film I went to 160. I think the film project is going to be great, not just the transformation and the weight loss but my performance in itself. I’m excited to see it.”

Casting Directors Telling ‘Precious’ Gabby to Lose Weight

Really not a surprise to anyone, but casting directors in Hollywood are telling Gabby Sidibe to lose some fucking weight if she wants to land another part.

While I do love Gabby in all her big girl amazingness, I must admit that even I, who grew up in a neighborhood very similar to the Harlem portrayed in Precious, am a little taken back by her girth. There we’re always thick girls around, but the Gabster is really beyond any “norm”, if you could even count any sort of norm in the ghetto. Most girls on baby one or two had that extra weight, and the blockbusters who used to hit the Grand Concourse we’re by no means thin, but I don’t think I’ve ever really seen any female as large as Sidibe in real life.

But I’m just one person. Do you feel Gabby should lose weight to get more roles in Hollywood? It didn’t really work for Kristy Alley or that chick from ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’, but do you think thinner is the only option for this Oscar nominated star?

Weight Loss Tip That Isn’t Anorexia

Due to the fact that I was recently called a discriminatory bigot against fat people, so in order to prove that I don’t hate fat people I have decided to offer a simple weight loss solution brought to you by Snapple. The Fashion Indie team was enjoying a delicious lunch today, when Rebecca opened her Snapple green tea and revealed a rather interesting Snapple Fact. The cap stated “Smelling bananas and/or apples can help you lose weight.” So for you unfortunate fatties walk (or run!) to Whole Foods and snag yourself some fruit and duct tape them under your nose. See I do care about our not so slender readers, I really am trying to help.
