Today the world took off their shoes to raise awareness for the staggering number of children across the globe who are contracting STDs. Soil-Transmitted Diseases, that is. Marc Jacobs Responsible for Store Wipe Out in The West Village

An angry shopped recently stated that the amounts of empty store fronts on Bleeker St is due to Marc Jacobs because he is able to pay the $60,000 a month rent.  “It’s because of all the Marc Jacobs and Ralph Laurens. They are killing the Village,” he said. “Ten years ago — mom-and-pop stores gone, restaurants gone, they’re all gone.”
