- Marc Jacobs apparently raided my fantasy wardrobe for the lace dress he wore to the Met Ball last night. No stranger to a kilt or even the occasional full drag, Jacobs remarked that he “just didn’t wanna wear a tuxedo and be boring.” Mission: accomplished. [Telegraph]

- Speaking of the Lady Jacobs, someone graffittied “ART” in big red letters on the designer’s Mercer St store. Whether that someone was Marc Jacobs in an attempt at attention-grabbing is yet to be revealed. [Racked]

- Alessandra Ambrosio took a break from bejeweling her baby bump to finally give birth to a boy yesterday. The Victoria’s Secret Angel and fiancé Jamie Mazur reportedly named their special delivery Noah. [Styleite]

- The New York Times seems to think that there are other places outside of Manhattan, let alone other places outside of Manhattan that need street style coverage. So starting today the Times has a new biweekly video series featuring street style from all five boroughs. Question: are we still considering Staten Island a borough? [WWD]

- Beloved children’s book author and illustrator Maurice Sendak, who wrote the seminal bed-wetter Where the Wild Things Are, died today from complications of a recent stroke. He was 83. [NYT]

Opening Ceremony has been doing limited edition Where The Wild Things are products for awhile now, but they may just have saved the best for last. I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I’m eager to do so. This special edition of the novel was made just for Opening Ceremony, and could definitely make the perfect Christmas/holiday gift.

Seriously, this picture is making me reconsider my decision to never have a kid. Group costumes would make that whole raising an a ungrateful life ruining demon spawn seem bareable. Yeah, I have some strong views on those vomit factories people call children, surprised.
