The Rebecca Taylor Spring 2012 show was like a funky-glam pool party. Glitter, floral prints and sheer knits in acid hues carried her signature “girly but not too much” vibe while aqua blue eyes and wet, slicked-back hair made me want to jump in the water.

In the relative context of The City, Whitney Port always seemed as wholesome and nice as Paula Deen’s apple pie, a marked contrast to her onscreen rival, resident snark Olivia Palermo. Though their love-hate (or shall we just say hate-hate) working relationship was one of the reasons we tuned into watch NYC-based MTV hit, Olivia and Whitney’s careers now seem to be heading in vastly different directions than the archetypes they portrayed.

Rebecca Minkoff was like the class president — she’s come along way since interning and she announced last night that she’s actively looking for a space for her own store.

We here at FashionIndie love Whitney, not only because she’s beautiful, but because we’ve met her a few times at events and she’s quite friendly and personable. But a designer she is not!
This another attempt at designing a collection is a failure, it falls somewhere between the sale rack at The Gap and everything at Old Navy!
