Paris’ high-end  Colette recently slated that they will carry Justin Timberlake’s label, William Rast. Lindsay Lohan had this to say via Twitter: “I can’t believe you are lowering yourselves to a MACY’S brand- I am speechless. Paris is chic not mid America. Gross.” Well, here’s a perfect example of why you should think before you speak, because Lohan ended up with this appology: “I am sorry for the unnecessary comment-wasn’t meant to be a jab,” she said. “I have some William Rast & Ut’s great-was a friends words. And my 6126 leggings are in Macy’s West and they’ve been great to work with.” I wouldn’t exactly bash labels that I wear or store who sell my accessories. LOL at LiLo throwing herself under the bus.

As a Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week virgin, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Bryant Park tents. The crowds, the celebrities, the gossip- yawn.  William Rast’s fall 09 collection- tremendous. Everything about the show from the music to the fringed leather carried me from the city to dirty and down-home rock-and-roll America. As studded leather and two-toned denim marched down the runway, I couldn’t help but feel as if I was sitting next to Hunter S. Thompson in a roadside diner on the outskirts of 1970s Las Vegas.

Titled “New America”, Rast’s collection featured a mix of fringed and studded leather, tees with shoulder pads and over-sized plaid shirts worn under dirty denim. The men were outfitted in double-breasted blazers worn over leather pants or multiple-zip denim jeans. Women’s mini skirts were high-waisted and cut like upside-down sweetheart lines in the back. The hair couldn’t have been more perfect for the collection; the women were sporting long, wind-blown locks as the men flaunted slicked-back motorcycle bouffants. I could have done without the overly decorated jeans, as I am still recovering from the last epidemic. Too many patches and lacy appliqués cluttered some of the meticulous design details that made the jeans stand out among other lines. But a William Rast truck stop-fabulous, fringed and studded leather jacket is undeniably on my wish list for fall.

Anna Wintour is just as skeletal in person, Justin Timberlake is more handsome than photos can actually do justice and Paris Hilton’s blonde head was peaking out from behind three bodyguards. Overall, the experience was really great, and I would go back in a heartbeat. I’m glad I got to see a show at the legendary tents before Fashion Week decided to relocate.

William Rast,  Justin Timberlake’s line, will make its Bryant Park debut next month when it holds its spring show at the tents during New York Fashion Week.

“The show is scheduled for Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. And for those who might anticipate a concert, there won’t be one. A spokeswoman for William Rast said that while Timberlake is scheduled to be present at the show, there will be no performance. This will be the brand’s second show during fashion week in New York. The last show, in September, was held at the Roseland Ballroom when a Timberlake performance was rumored but never materialized, much to the anger of attendees.”

Though news has recently surfaced that Jessica Biel would be designing a line of handbags for William Rast, reps for the line are denying any news of that sort. William Rast, created by Jessica’s boyfriend Justin Timberlake, will not be getting a Biel collection addition. At least that’s one less celebrity off of the designer list.

That’s right, having a bf with his very own fashion company really pays off. Supposedly, Jessica’s love for handbags has given Justin a reason to add her to the the William Rast family.

Sources say she has already started sketching designs for a limited edition collection.

William Rast/Justin Timberlake has just released this behind the scenes look at the making of the next commercial for the denim line. Rast races around with a huge gash in his arm, which I’m guessing was caused by a jealous fan or bookie or Ashton Kutcher cause he knows how “rough” JT likes it. Either way, I fucking hate how famous this guy is…

I mean the dudes pretty cool, I guess. He dates the hottest women, has a hugely successful music career, makes movies that I actually see, and has a pretty cool fashion line. I guess if that stuff gets your rocks off, he’s a pretty cool dude. But for me, it’s just not enough. I need more Justin. I need you to call me sometimes, you know, and make an effort to be my friend. This relationship is so one sided. I can’t continue this bromance is you refuse to do your part or at least pitch me your sloppy seconds (Scarjo call me).

 Justin was recently snapped by the paparazzi in Italy with his soon to be wife (possibly?) Jessica Biel. I doubt he knocked the socks off any of the fashion thirty Italians with his Tennessee Tuxedo shorts. Shouldn’t the self proclaimed “William Rast” know that in a world of cropped pants and knee flashing, that his shorts are too long. The fashion world is built around killing bad trends, so why couldn’t JT get this right? Well lucky for you indies I am here to make a couple suggestions on rocking denim shorts, so next time you go to Italy for a quick vaca (yeah right) you’ll “bring the sexy back” rather than scare it away.

Try these Fremont shorts from Oak. They fit a bit slimmer and flash a some knee. The more knee the less ghetto!

These cool double waisted dark denim shorts from Ksubi allow a comfortable slouching look without the shorts being too long. They are damn stylish too.

And just because Fall is closing in doesn’t mean shorts are dead. Throw some leggings on, and you are good for another couple months. Sorry Justin but those Wrangler specials with that fake hole in the front just aren’t doing it for me.

Justin Timberlake has accepted a roll as William Rast for their new ad campaigns. Timberlake, the owner of William Rast, has said in the past how he wished to stay out of the affairs of the company, but when the representatives for his company approached him with the idea he loved it. He will be playing William Rast who is a fictional character who is supposed to be on the run in the ads. I personally have two major problems witht his seemingly cheesy idea. First and foremost, It is totally corny that he is doing all the advertising for his own company. We have seen countless numbers of celebrities do this and well it never seems to help. Second, with the so called “develped” characters it would be safe to assume that JT is going to have to act, and everything he has ever acted has flopped. I hate to say it, but I smell disaster. Poor celebrities there is a reason why you don’t design clothes, because you just aren’t good at it, and even worse for Justin he can’t even act like he’s good at it.

We’ve been addicted to the vest look since it started cropping up on Justin Timberlake last year when he was bringing sexy back. Now the manish style has finally progressed from the streets of Williamsburg and Barnaby Street to the shelves of some of your favorite boutiques. William Rast (big surprise that Justin’s line ,  Endovanera, and Marlova have all released killer vests for the spring, so be a fucking follower and get one pronto. Nothing says ballbreaker better than dressing like a dude and sporting a woody.  Get a vest and you’ll understand.
