Bronzed and beautiful as always, only Candace Swanepoel could pull-off a sweaty, matted-down hair, I-just-worked-out look this well. Photographed by Daniel Jackson for the February 2012 issue of Vogue China, Candy sports sporty looks from Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga, Y-3 and Narciso Rodriguez, artfully styled by Alastair McKimm. Take notes ladies – this is what a city workout should look like.

It’s days like today that send us north easterners into a frightened frigid frenzy of layers and shivers as we push our way though the cold front. My new vintage Oscar de la Renta mohair may work in the upper 30s, low 40s, but send me below freezing and I may need something a little more high tech. Luckily, companies are hard at work developing coats that keep you super warm and not looking like a bulky snowman. They also sometimes serenade you, or protect you from ballistics. What I’m saying is that these are not your average jackets. No. These are technically awesome.

I’ve never cared much for Christmas — aside from a really long vacation from school or work, I never really got the fuss. In fact, I’d more than happy to ignore this holiday and just get wasted, eat Chinese food and catch the premiere of The Iron Lady. However, in the spirit of the season, I came across a few items that struck my fancy and would make even my Grinch’s heart grow marginally larger.

Nicola Formichetti was busy in 2010 keeping Gaga in meat gowns and machine gun bustiers. Along the way he even managed to style a few editorial spreads and ad campaigns. No doubt he was one of the driving creative forces for the past 12 months, but what were his favorite moments?

Call me a sucker for studs, but these new Y-3 high-top sneakers in collaboration with Adidas are bad, bad-ass. Pair them with this Burberry jacket and you’re well-equipped with horrible, pun-laced pick-up lines. Sounds like a win. More looks after the jumpity jump.
