As if the vibrant Christmas scene in Copenhagen, Denmark wasn’t enough, Henrik Vibskov and his astounding fashion shows are yet another reason why I want to hop a plane and make a transatlantic journey! Now, I’ll admit that most of Vibskov’s eccentric designs don’t appeal to my taste, but the way this man puts on a show is right up my alley! I stumbled upon these videos while lurking on Youtube, loving every second of the jazzy music, amazing runway setups and the sheer excitement both on the runway and in the audience. I couldn’t help but laugh at the minty green cilia or the boob-like objects creating obstacles for the models, but oh so coherent with Vibskov’s season designs. I was even thrilled to see Vibskov’s involvement in the shows (apparently he is an accomplished percussionist is playing drums in both shows!) At least this dude is proud of his work and doesn’t try to act all humble and shy (*cough* Cynthia Rowley…don’t think I didn’t see you poke your head out and then hide backstage!)

Bloggers everywhere…there may be a blog out there better than Fashion Indie (okay…that’s impossible but I’ve found a close second!) 19-year-old model Daul Kim’s blog ‘I Like to Fork Myself,’ is quite simple, but oh so amusing. Edgy poetry, stream of consciousness rants, random Youtube videos and candid photographs…they never cease to amaze me! Despite the controversy that her kinky polaroids stirred, all of the “forking” around is in the job description…she is a model after-all! And no matter how forked up her poetry may be, I cannot help but fall in love with it over and over:

WOW THE BASS is so loud that it is making shadows on the light … cool”/ and then like … 10 min later/ utak is like/ “shit fire”/ the light bulb burned the pillow/ and it was on fire/ i was like … okay … / lets not use the water in the cup because it is vodka … / and utak just hit the burning pillow with his palm/ and it died eventually./ and after that we slept on that pillow./ we didnt think so much/ and then the next day when we woke up we were like/ wow./ we almost could have died./ if we fell asleept earlier we could have burned/ it would have been quite … weird if we woke up the next day/ and we are in a different dimention./ and its kind of romantic and retarded and no regrets./ also so strange a light bulb burning a pillow.

Anyone understand that? Yeah, me neither. But I love it.

Eva Mendes Banned From YouTube

Eva Mendes for Calvin Klein Secret Obsession was rejected by all major American television networks for being too suggestive earlier this Summer. The clip did manage to become a YouTube sensation, but has now been removed from the Web site, who claims the footage “It has been removed due to terms of use violation.”

The funny thing is, there was barely a nipple slip in the video, nothing we haven’t seen before on youtube. Seriously, you can find videos on there of people choking each other, pretending to commit suicide (or actual suicide from ‘Face of Death’), and all sorts of violence, but a nipple is forbidden? Come on!!!
