Would Louboutin Sue this Artist at the Drop of a Hat?

Edited by

Last night at the art show at The Old School, I spied a hat that would get Monsieur Christian Louboutin’s panties in a legal twist. This red under-brimmed baseball cap piqued my interest as I warned its creator, Sean Kinney of Eddie Eddie by Billy Tommy for Real Quick for Fun, of a potentially vicious lawsuit in his future for Louboutin copyright infringement. Fashion Week’s Man of a Thousand Wild Suits Rocks John Lennon

Edited by

He’s a Fashion Week fixture: The man in the wild printed suit and matching newsboy hat. If you’ve been to The Tents, you’ve seen him and probably wonder, who the heck is he?  This mysteriously matching man rocked a John Lennon suit this New York Fashion Week. The deeply rooted Beatles fan in me suddenly had to know more about him and his sartorial choice of Lennon that caused quite a stir. So I asked.

Edited by

The Christian Louboutin-Yves Saint Laurent red-sole trademark battle is still raging on. Well, perhaps “raging” isn’t the right word…teetering on, if you will. Yves Saint Laurent is showing their manly side this spring with its first menswear ad campaign in almost five years. The last time YSL ran a menswear campaign was for fall 2007 when Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot industrial designer Marc Newsom. Reflecting, according to the house of YSL, the continued global growth of its men’s wear line,  Stefano Pilati signed on David Sims to capture model Baptiste Radufe for spring 2012.

Lea T and Andrej Pejic Share Some “Candy”

Edited by

Of his muse, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci says Lea T has a “unique, rare, natural beauty, a combination of purity, hardness, romanticism, and agressiveness: all components of androgyny that are bound to both sexes.” Combining tranny superpowers with fellow Amazonian androgyne, Andrej Pejic, Lea imhabits this beauty in Candy Magazine‘s “Powerful Soul,” shot by Andreas Larsson. Flanked by male models at every turn, Ms. T takes the lead in a series of gender-blurring portraits as well as in a pas de deux with a YSL-clad Pejic.
