Tasteful Not Tacky: Prada Makes Costume Jewelry

I couldn’t be less of a fan of costume jewelry. Something about oversized cubic zirconia, blinding bling and a rainbow of jewels thrown together doesn’t exactly make an outfit look elegant or glamourous. Actually, it does exactly the opposite, making the wearer appear to be gawdy and lacking in the taste department. Well, remind me to bite my tongue the next time I generalize and say “all costume Jewelry is tacky,” because Prada truly picked up the slack for all costume jewelry designers everywhere. 

Finally! Costume jewelry that is modern, chic, glamorous and wearable, all at the same time! Unlike some of the antique pieces, the Prada costume jewelry won’t exactly break the bank (pieces range anywhere from $200-$800). I absolutely adore the sleek black chain-link necklace as well as the gold geometric choker! Just in time for the holidays, you might want to leave Santa an extra cookie and a taller glass of milk!
