The Bashed: City Slippers
Images of SWIMS City Slippers have been, well, floating around the blogs for several months now. Above is the latest image the Norwegian galoshes manufacturer has to offer. It’s basically a little water-resistant condom to protect your fancy shoes from puddle splashes.
Unfortunately, the cover does not protect your delicate heel or bottom of your shoe at all. Oh, and it makes your foot look stupid.
The City Slippers are apparently still in the prototype stage, and not yet ready for retail, and I think we can see why.

Wow, completely with you on this. If your shoes are too expensive to survive a little splash, maybe you shouldn’t wear them out. I’d rather bring shoes in a bag and wear another pair. I haven’t seen anything this bad come out of Scandanavia since Ace of Base.
