TRENDSPARK: Trailer Park Meets Park Avenue

Is “White Trash Chic” the latest craze or is it just plain crazy?

With the renewed vows of Heidi Klum and Seal on our minds (the two had a trashtastic ceremony, that’s Seal in a mullet and Heidi with cornrows above), we were starting to wonder if trailer park is the newest fashion trend. Pipeline answered our questions with a feature on the latest white trash inspired collections and photo shoots which have hit the glossies and runways recently. From A.Wang to Westwood, Marie Claire to Julia Restoin-Roitfel, it seems that the new money is down for looking like they ain’t got none.

Wow. How ignorant of these fashion mags and people to try to act as if it's "cool" to glamorize poor white working (and some non) americans. So sad that I came across this. I'm actually disgusted considering that each designer doesn't have a clue what people in areas such as the Rust Belt or Central Appalachia go through on a daily basis and what their lives are like. A trend? I find it repulsive, disrespectful, and disgusting. Stay in the bubble where you belong and leave poor Americans out of your "trend".
