I am not a fan of the Birkins either. I also "don't get it." And I ADORE designer authentic handbags. And yes I will pay through the nose for a GOOD one! But NOT insanity amounts like Birkin $$$$. I love BE&D handbags. The leather is ridiculously insanely gorgeous! The hardware is amazing! These guys started these bags in 2004. I love DIOR. Not ALL the DIOR handbags- as a lot of them just don't quite "do it" for me. However I just bought the DIOR Patent Leather le Trente le 30 handbag in black and it's GORGEOUS! Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we aren't all going to fall in love with the same handbags- hence the reason why there's a limitless variety of the darlings. I bought a RIPANI handbag (Italian) from TJ MAXX for 100 dollars. It's so beautiful and people stare at it and compliment me on it. I think it may have originally been anywhere from 200- 500 dollars not sure. I love Roberto Cavalli, BE&D, DIOR, CHANEL, VALENTINO, GUCCI, FENDI, TREESJE, Tylie Malibu, Francesco Biasia, Marc Jacobs, Mulberry....

I will take any of those over a Birkin- (well maybe not, give me the Birkin and I'll return it and get the $$$ and put the money in savings or buy a few of the above!)

They look like boxes and that thin leather strip across the top front? Ick.

MAJOR CABLE NETWORK CASTING
NYC WALL STREET DOCU-SERIES

We are currently looking for women who are intelligent, outgoing and articulate with larger than life personalities to participate in a docu-series for a major cable network illustrating women fighting to keep up with the shift in the economy.

The ideal candidate would be a woman that has experienced a major lifestyle change as a result of the economic downturn.

With the recession, this woman is for the first time cutting coupons, looking at price tags, and explaining to her friends and family that she is no longer living the same lifestyle.

If you appear to be in your mid 20s to late 30s and fit the criteria above please send us a brief description and photo of yourself to castingnyc@vinniep.com
