The most successful fashion exhibit in the Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s history, Alexander McQueen‘s Savage Beauty set records and inspired fashion lovers and neophytes alike. The exhibit proved so popular, in fact, the Met extended its run twice. Even then, there were still lines of people waiting hours to get into the museum, but for 661,509 people it was well-worth the wait.
