Tommy Guns’ Salon Opens In LES
Owner Russell Manley, a dapper gent trained in Sussex, recently-opened Tommy Guns’ salon on the Lower East Side in New York. The shop mimics Tommy Guns’ first store vintage design, which opened in Soho, London in 1996.
Classic barber chairs in leather upholstery, nickel, mirror & glass cabinets, marble floors & counter tops together with vintage lighting, set the salon apart from the rest. The salon plays up the authentic, old fashion image; the upscale service provided is geared towards a modern lifestyle. But behind the marble-and-nickel interior, vintage lighting and pitch-perfect wall hangings, is a full service hair salon catering to both sexes.
This could be a new story line for SEX IN THE CITY: with a vintage chic decor and a unisex clientele, all Tommy Guns salon would need is cocktails, a celebrity DJ and late appointments this could be the new trendy spot for singles to meet.
