		<description>thats just ridiculous. i understand if they need to pare down their staff - after all - we are in the midst of an economic nightmare..but to do it before fashion week? and to do it in such a bizarre way? why would they need their editors to reapply? thats just time wasting and backwards...

and why would they want to focus on the luxury supplement?! that makes as much sense as the celebrity presenters being a surprise at the oscars..(ie: they wont be on the red carpet, and i don&#039;t think that people watch the oscars for the presenters).

to top it all off, this comes after the wsj decided to scrap bookworld...
its very sad.</description>
