weindie showcase: Sara Zucker
The unstoppable beast which is the weindie network keeps on growing. This week we decided to feature an interview with one of our favorite publishers, Sara Zucker of Farpitzs. The Long Island native gives her readers an inside look into her wickedly fashionable world and shares her favorite fashion faves.

“I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS, FASHION INDIE. I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT (and i only use caps lock when things get severe.).”
- Sara Zucker
Who’s your favorite designer?
Natalia Brilli for accessories, and tsumori chisato, erdem, and hussein chalayan for clothing. in a perfect world, my closet would be filled with their creations.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever bought yourself?
whenever i go to craft fairs, i am continually surprised by the jewelry created by the independent craftsmen in my area. i have amassed a fortune of pieces, but i treasure each and every one, from pearl necklaces to leather bags.
What’s your favorite city?
cinque terra, on the amalfi coast of italy. it is made up of five small towns, all lined up along the cliffs. you can either hike from town to town, or take a ferry. they are known for their pesto and olive oil, the water is turquoise, and each town is more picturesque and beautiful than the next.
What are you watching on TV this week?
i do not have cable, so i read a lot of books. if on the off chance i get the opportunity, i will be glued to the history channel and the food network. no particular program, but i could watch either channels for hours.
If you could meet any model or celebrity who would it be?

clara bow or louise brooks. they are my idols and continual fashion inspirations.
What’s the biggest challenge for a blogger?
definitely creating traffic and buzz. i try to mix in some diy, some music, maybe a funny picture here or there to keep the attention of my audience. when suggesting style tips, if i focus on a female audience one minute, i always make sure to discuss a male point of view in the next post.
Vogue or French Vogue?
french vogue. i find it to be far more avant garde, open to change and creativity, and less conservative. i don’t want to feel like the writers are better than i am when i read magazines. i want it to seem like a level playing field, even if it is all a ruse.
What’s Your Number One Beauty Tip?
if you know that you have curly hair like i do, please, don’t brush it; i looked like a chia pet until tenth grade, and i am never going back. do yourself a favor and invest in leave-in conditioner and a wide-toothed comb.

oh friggin boy!
