Grazia has discoverd that Alexander McQueen is being bombarded with calls from women wanting to order the Spring 2010 footwear – starting from the day after the collection was streamed live on the web.
‘We’ve had lots of people showing great interest in the show shoes,’ says a McQueen spokesperson. Women are also looking ‘to buy them as art pieces’. ‘The process used to create the Alien shoes is very innovative and protected by copyright,’ creating a mystery around the footwear. ‘We are considering organizing a charity auction as the best way to offer them to the public.’
