While I wouldn't dream of advising anyone on how it looks, the Chanel fishing gear has a long way to go before it works in a way befitting its price tag.

'Trout Fisherman' magazine reviewed the gear, having had its bluff (http://tauntedbywaters.wordpress.com/2008/08/07/chanel-rodon-line-special/) called by Chanel. The rod and reel are mismatched in weight, so extensive use will leave you with biceps like Venus Williams and as there is no insect under the sun with the Chanel logo on its wings, the flies are unlikely to catch any but the most ravenous and/or stupid trout.

In its current guise, you'd need to have a LOT more money than sense before you bought this kit. And if you do, there's the additional problem of avoiding all other fly fishermen when you use it - word of this product has gone around the fishing world like wildfire and the general response has ranged from scornful to belligerent outrage. You remember what happened to those guys in 'Deliverance'...
