See this lovely hat? Is it lovely enough for you to spend $100,ooo on it? I didn’t think so. Simply and aptly named “The Hat” (I’m assuming if you ever bought this you would let everyone know and therefore would be able to refer to it as simple “The Hat”) this extravagent piece comes from Montecristi Panama. It is the creation of Brent Black and Simon Espinal, who is apparently the best hand weaver in history. Black even went as far to remark that he is “happily overwhelmed with orders”. I guess that answers the questions in my lead in.
