there was an exhibit because the brand happens to be the hot brand of the moment and FIT wanted the publicity. Come on, not all the shoes look all that great and if you really look, all they have is ONE style now...that platform. over and over and over and over again!

You are so right. Thank you for writing this. These shoes really jack your feet up. What a waste of money...could have done something better with the $$$ I ended up spending. Besides, look at the type of ppl wearing and sweating over his shoes! That says enuf.

I don't know, I'm really undecided. To a degree, I agree with you because the ubiquitous shoe and red sole are overexposed. On the other hand, some of his shoes are absolute stunning works of art. Yes, they are hard to walk in and terribly uncomfortable. Such is art. I didn't have the chance to see the exhibit showcasing his work at FIT, but I think the fact that there was an exhibit at all is testament to the fact that his shoes are more than just crafted leather - they are wearable art, worthy of being on display. They are more a treat for the eyes than for the feet.

I'm an idiot, I wish I was an idiot cause then I could afford like half a pair. I can't even afford one part of a pair. But I wish I could.
