This is an alt-fashionista’s wet dream!

While 2006 seemed to be the year of Anna Wintour, 2008 is turning out to be the year of the fake Anna Wintour. The real Anna’s gonna be pissed!
I’ve heard through the fashion grapevine that the Lanvin show was crashed by an Anna Wintour look-a-like. And nobody stopped her!
What does one do when they have no invite? We now have the answer! Dress up like the most famous editor in the biz. And really is it that hard? The problem with an iconic look is, it can easily be copied. The impostor dressed in a fur like coat, large glasses that covered most of her face , and of course the bob haircut. That’s evidently all you need to do. Oh, and be cold and aloof. Think marble statue.
And when someone mentioned to a Lanvin rep that that couldn’t be the real Wintour, as she had previewed the show hours ago and just hopped a flight to New York, the rep snapped “You don’t think I know Anna Wintour? I know how to my job.” Sounds like somebody’s going to get fired!
And who is this woman, who has become my new hero? Mademoiselle Agnes, but of course! Mademoiselle Agnes is a French television personality. I should have guessed! The French do it better! And what does Mademoiselle Agnes have to say for herself? “It’s an homage, we are doing a story on it and every season we do an episode called ‘See Anna’”
the real, fake Anna Wintour
I must say, I am a little jealous I didn’t think of this first. Here’s to more fake-Anna Wintour’s in 2008.
