Russian androgyne Anna Selezneva battles an invisible bull  in Santa Sangre, a short by Swedish director Axel Lindahl. And let’s just say she doesn’t do that well.

Selezneva: Santa Sangre

“I wanted to do something real and concentrated and this was the key for me,” says Lindahl. Taking on the role of the invisible bull, Lindahl attacked Selezneva with hysterical profanities in order to provoke a performance that would capture the urgency and danger of a real bullfight. ”If you lose the bull for a second, you’re dead,” the director explained. But alas, in the end, “the bull always wins.”

Anna, for her part, put up a good fight, although a little nipple coverage might’ve helped. There’s enough rib cage on display you might as well hang Anna up on your door to scare away trick or treaters. [Nowness]
