Remember back when editrix in chief Anna Wintour hosted that Barack Obama fundraiser at Sarah Jessica Parker’s house and sold tickets for 40 grand a pop? Well the queen of multi-tasking has decided to throw a couple more while she is abroad during London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. The kicker is they’re still too expensive for us to go.

Anna Wintour to Host More Obscenely Expensive Obama Dinners During London and Paris Fashion Week

After editor of American Vogue Anna Wintour finishes up with New York Fashion Week she’s off to London and Paris for their respective fashion presentations, but Anna does not plan on just simply silently evaluating the shows from her front row seat. Anna has an agenda that is a little more political.

No, Anna Wintour is not planning on taking over the world (although she probably could). She is hosting round three and four of her Obama-rama fundraisers. While in London and Paris for their fashion weeks, Wintour is hosting fundraisers with entrance fees up to $15,000 a head.

On September 19th, Wintour begins her political tour at Mark’s Club with Tom Ford and David Plouffe for the bargain price of $15,000 a seat at dinner. On October 10th in Paris, she will continue her reign with the “Paris Fashion Week Reception with Anna Wintour” at Le Maison 8 for a more reasonable price of just $2,500 to attend the reception with a $10,000 fare for dinner.

While the fashion industry continues to be friendly and friendlier to politics, politics hasn’t been one to reciprocate. Barack Obama‘s recent interview with Glamour magazine got lots of guff from traditional news outlets and was criticized for avoiding hard-hitting political questions. While fashion and politics continue to act like those two teenagers on separate sides of the social spectrum, politics still stands a lot to gain by cozying up to it’s more fashionable counterpart (how’s $15,000 donations for dinner with Anna Wintour to start?), unfortunately this time you won’t get to pee in SJP’s bathroom. Even if you still make a donation of $40,000.
