BEHIND THE SCENES: Alisha Trimble F/W 2010 Beauty

Here’s a glimpse backstage at the Alisha Trimble Fall/ Winter 2010 show. Created by hair and make-up designer Christie Puccio, here’s a step by step how to for “Vacation in Detroit”

Step 1: Dark and edgy metallic eye

“I used Mac pro platinum pigment from the inner corners of the eye to past the center of the lid. To create a sharp smoky eye, a small edged detail brush was used to define and fill the desired area past the outer eye. To blend the bright pigment into the black hard edge, a deep grey is used. For the lower lid, I filled the inner rim with a black eye pencil and continue the edge from the top lid to the lower lid, and finished with mascara and large false eyelashes.”

Step 2: Skin & custom lip color

“Toning and moisturizing the skin is important to prep for photo shoots, so I used Clarins toner, and Embryolisse moisturizer. Next, I used Temptu’s silicone based foundation. Rather than using a blush color, a Temptu highlight was added to the high cheekbone to give the face a sheen glow. For the lip color, I lined and filled the lip with Mac color “Spice,” & put on a deep purple lipstick. The shade “smoked purple” was used because of its matte consistency as well as the perfect shade of deep eggplant. Mac tinted “c-thru” lip glass was used to add shine and to enhance the desired purple. To finish the lip, a gold pigment was patted on with a brush.”

Step 3: Wild- style updos by Key Hairstylist Rudy Villalobos from Arrojo.

“Here is a bit of the details on what I did for the show/photo shoot: We pulled back the sides to create a sleek smooth updo, then height was created on top in a few different ways-a modern take on the pompadour for long hair. Some looks had a smooth finish and some a bit messy finish. The rest of the hair was left down to show off how long each models hair was originally, with occasional added extensions in blonde and black.”

Products used:

Arrojo Thermal Protector
Arrojo Volume Foam
Arrojo Shine Spray
Arrojo Styling Creme
Arrojo Texture Paste
