There were more stars at the Brian Atwood party than in the New York City skyline.  From Ryan Lochte describing his clothing line, to the Hilton sisters (remember them?) ducking away from Kim Kardashian, with a little bit of Heidi Klum making a not-gonna-touch-my-personal-life appearance, here are all the goodies you missed on Fashion Week Eve.

Lochte, Klum, Kardashian Oh My! Celebrities Fill Brian Atwood Party On Fashion Week Eve

Every celebrity in Manhattan seemed to stop by the Four Seasons Restaurant last night, dancing to the killer tunes of our favorite DJ Mick Boogiein celebration of stunning shoe designer Brian Atwood’s fall campaign and first store opening.  We hurried over once hearing about a potential Kim Kardashian sighting, and pulled up right when she was about to make an exit.  Dressed in a Kanye-approved black & white dress and Brian Atwood heels, she air kissed Mr. Atwood (who we arrived right behind) and they posed for a swarm of paparazzi shots, sweetly chatting and basking in the positive energy of the space.  And quite the space it was — a giant disco ball over an aqua pool glowed in the middle of the room, which was otherwise washed in deep pink and purple lighting.  The pool was surrounded by an elegant Four Seasons feast (which we quickly dove into), and guests sipped on DeLeón Tequila cocktails cleverly named Maniac, The Sex is in the Heel, Midnight Purple, and The Atwood.

Once allowed to pass the sweetest Kardashian sister, we brushed by a gaggle of blondes that seemingly went unnoticed.  It was a double take on someone’s sequined Chanel skirt that made me turn around, when I realized it was Paris & Nicky Hilton, aka Kim Kardashian’s long term frenemies.  No words were exchanged, but the timing of Miss K’s departure and the Beverly Hills sisters arrival was a little too calculated to be coincidental.

A few stiletto clacking steps later, we ran into another blonde bombshell: Victoria’s Secret Angel and star of the Brian Atwood campaign film, miss Candice Swanepoel (who was wearing sleek suede black Brian Atwood booties).  She filled us in on how fun it was to work with Brian, how much she loves his shoes, and how other than this party, she is laying pretty low for New York Fashion Week.  The campaign itself, scantily shot by Mert & Marcus and scandalously titled The Sex Is In The Heel series, consists of a print run and a fashion film that tells the story of the modern woman’s desire for fantasy and control.

Brian joined in, sharing pleasantries when his next star studded guest shot me a familiar gaze.  That’s right people, it was our Vegas Birthday friend Mr. Ryan Lochte.  Lochte and I briedly exchanged “how have you been since that whole Prince Harry scandal that one night in Vegas” banter and moved on to discuss the hottest topic of Fashion Week so far: what Ryan Lochte’s clothing line is going to consist of.  Is his clothing line going to be patriotic? “Yes. With a little more edge.” Is his clothing line going to be dressy? “Yeah, yes it is going to be dressy”. Is he excited for any particular shows this week? “I’m not sure which shows I’m seeing”.  Can he describe his experience at Joseph Abboud today? “It was a lot of fun”.

After this thrilling ride down conversation lane, we let Lochte do what he does best: step back into a photo opp with the timeless beauty, newly single, Miss Heidi Klum.  We got to say hello for a moment, but Ms. Klum was in attendance “totally off duty and just there having a good time”, according to her publicist.  Judging by the fact that she immediately whispered “I’m ready to leave now” right after we were slightly ushered away, the previous statement comes into question.  Not one to dig for celebrity scandal, we turned our attentions to the fashion celebrity circle.

Run-ins with June Ambrose (who rocked a leopard print hat and white blazer), Mary Alice Stephenson (who looked breathtaking in a marigold Lanvin silk dress), Iman, Rachel Zoe, Gabrielle Union, Estelle and every other fashionable starlet we could imagine, it was a visual fashion feast.  As people danced their way from the uptown watering hole to the opening party of the infamous Boom Boom Room, we walked ourselves to bed.  What a perfect way to kick off New York Fashion Week.
