Designer Discovery: Zampiere

Founded in the sixties, Zampiere are a third generation family firm. The Spanish company make high quality men’s fashion shoes in quality Italian leathers. The lack of info on the brand’s website tells me, Zampiere may manufacture under other brands. Either way, the shapes and fabrication combinations are stunning and totally covetous.

The Beautiful Ones A/W 08

Argentinian designers The Beautiful Ones showcase their A/W 09 collection with a twist of understated preppy, kinda reminds me of a mix between Urban Outfitters and Banana Republic.

Thanks Bored & Beautiful

Oye Modern Showcases Indie Jewelry Designers

If you like really cool jewelry by indie designers, then I have the source for you. Oye Modern is your source for contemporary jewelery by emerging and independent designers. It’s unique, original and hard to find, with too many designers to mention, I though I would just pick some pieces and you guys can check the rest out for yourselves.

These Models Have Just As Many Facial Expressions As Lindsay Lohan

Opening Ceremony is so lucky to be carrying such an amazing company like Band of Outsiders, because this is one of the coolest displays I have seen in a long time. To recognize the 30 year anniversary of the LEGO man, Scott Sternberg designed these massive LEGO men for the Band of Outsiders display at the Opening Ceremony store in LA. It may be because I was obsessed with LEGOs when I was younger, but I would take of these giant LEGO men before the Fendi Bear Brick

Thanks to the Pipeline for the pics!

Is That A Cell Phone or Are You Just Happy To See Me?

Aram Bartholl is starting a new line of vintage style jeans that “show traces of mobile tech development in society.” Now, we don’t quite know what this means, all I know is that the above image has an imprint of an old Nokia 6600 (don’t ask how I know that) phone.

Personally, I don’t find this cool, and don’t see much of a demand in the market for something like this, but you guys tell me: would you rock these?

Designer Discovery: Ground Zero

Ground Zero is an amazing brand based out of the UK that has been around for a handful of years now. They do an amazing job mixing simple screen printed t-shirts and sweatshirts, and elaborate high fashion inspired pieces. The photos above include pieces from both the Fall/Winter 2008 and the Spring/Summer 2008 lines. The Fashion Indie crew are big fans of the tees specifically. Ground Zero is one brand that I have seen in a while who have sucessfully combined as many of the past years trends in one great looking line. Their use of metallics, draping over-sized tops, and the tighter fitting pant with the baggy crotch for men is appropriately trendy without falling into the Hipster pit of death.
