Rest in Peace. Alexander McQueen #alexandermcqueen

Rest in Peace. Alexander McQueen #alexandermcqueen

No words can describe the sadness that accompanies this post. Alexander McQueen, one of fashions true artisans, has taken his life at the age of 40. The news comes as a shock to many, since he has often been referred as one of this generations true fashion greats. A powerful designer with an ability to incorporate complex themes into his work, his latest collection drew attention from socials such as Daphne Guiness and Lady Gaga, who famously wore one of his elaborate designs in her Bad Romance video.

We will have full coverage and a review of his amazing collections to follow.

QUOTABLE: Calvin Klein says Kate Moss is “difficult”

QUOTABLE: Calvin Klein says Kate Moss is difficult

Designer Calvin Klein must have gotten nostalgic about the 1980’s jeans campaign which featured Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss, because while Klein aknowledged Moss to be a “great model,” he also revealed that she is “difficult to work with.” (more…)

FIRST LOOK: Narcisco Rodriquez for eBay

FIRST LOOK: Narcisco Rodriquez for eBay

Narcisco’s collection for the auction site eBay will be launching on February 15th. The looks are simple, yet chic. The best piece is definitely the dress on the end with the red color block. The others we’ve seen before and unfortunately, aren’t impressive. Hopefully, eBay steps up their game next time around and actually forces their contributing designers to design and not just give us a rehashing of things we’ve seen a million times before.

The bubble might currently hate me, but I’m in love with her mismatched combination.

Lady Gaga Just Came Back from the Pearly Gates

Lady Gaga Just Came Back from the Pearly Gates

Lady Gaga looks so flipping awesome all the time it’s starting to get really, really annoying. I mean seriously, how goddamn original are you missy. I’m always in awe of you. Good job, once again. In one year, you’ve managed to make every single red carpet attendee before you look like they just don’t give a fuck.

INTERVIEW: Alister Mackie, Fashion Launching Pad

Ahead of London Fashion Week, we thought we’d give you a glimpse behind the scenes – starting with an exclusive interview with none other than Alister Mackie. Alister’s fashion credentials are not to be sniffed at. A London College of Fashion graduate; he assisted Katy England at Dazed and Confused and helped to launch top fashion mag ‘Another Man’. Working with Topman, Alister is a key ingredient to the creative direction on the Topman Design range. Putting the finishing touches to Topman’s first solo outing at London Fashion Week, we managed to grab 5 minutes with the man himself…

Fashionista’s Brave the Cold for New York Fashion Week #NYFW

Fashionistas Brave the Cold for New York Fashion Week #NYFW

A snowy day in New York didn’t prevent these trepidatious fashionista’s from waiting in the cold. I was there waiting with them, freezing my buns off in hopes of acquiring the coveted Gift Bag vouchers which only a few get to have. I unfortunately didn’t receive one. Boo.

The Daily News Bores Us With Their List of Influencial New York Fashionistas #nyfw

Talk about wrapping a turd in tinfoil and calling it earrings (all to you Mugatu). The Daily News decided to reprint their list of Influential New York Fashionista’s from last year, only adding Lady Gaga to the list and removing some poor lackey who no one cares about anyways. I love these lists cause they never really change, unless of course you die. Expand your outlook bitches and you just might find a few more New Yorkers with some cojones willing to influence fashion. If you’re looking for an over the counter version of Ambien, read the list here.

STANDING ROOM: Kelly Cutrone Doesn’t Want to Be My Friend

STANDING ROOM: Kelly Cutrone Doesnt Want to Be My Friend

Talk about rejection. Just tried friending Kelly Cutrone on Facebook and was told she has “too many friends” and Facebook will not let her add anymore. Is that even possible? I appreciate you trying to lessen the blow of not being considered one of your 4593 friends, but there is no need to lie. At least have the pussy balls to reject me for not giving a shit about who I am. I can totally deal with being a nobody in your eyes.

Fortunately, I’ve been given the chance to be her fan. Um, I’ll pass.
