RUNWAY: Mackage Womens Fall Winter 2010 #nyfw

Mackage brought Rock n Roll flair to some amazingly tailored suiting, dresses and outerwear. Designers Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy’s collection ran the gauntlet of edge, with body-aware dresses, downtown scenester separates, and great elements of studs and leather. Shoulders followed tradition of other designers previous season and remained sculptural.

My personal fave aspect of this show was how every piece remained independent. While the collection was cohesive, the looks didn’t feel like duplicates.

Fashionistas Brave the Cold for New York Fashion Week #NYFW

A snowy day in New York didn’t prevent these trepidatious fashionista’s from waiting in the cold. I was there waiting with them, freezing my buns off in hopes of acquiring the coveted Gift Bag vouchers which only a few get to have. I unfortunately didn’t receive one. Boo.

The Daily News Bores Us With Their List of Influencial New York Fashionistas #nyfw

Talk about wrapping a turd in tinfoil and calling it earrings (all to you Mugatu). The Daily News decided to reprint their list of Influential New York Fashionista’s from last year, only adding Lady Gaga to the list and removing some poor lackey who no one cares about anyways. I love these lists cause they never really change, unless of course you die. Expand your outlook bitches and you just might find a few more New Yorkers with some cojones willing to influence fashion. If you’re looking for an over the counter version of Ambien, read the list here.

Celebs to Not Sit Front Row at Marc Jacobs

Every season we gaga over who sits front row at fashion week, and it’s usually a slew of celebrities. This year, the trend seems to be the opposite. From Diesel (which will be sitting bloggers front row) to Marc Jacobs, who recently stated:  ‘I’m not into the celebrity thing . . . like we used to. That’s boring’. (more…)

Burberry Not Only to Show in 3 D

Get those 3-D glasses ready, seems as though Burberry isn’t the only brand who will showcase in a different dimension. Native Son, a men’s fashion line from Los Angeles, will present what might be the world’s first 3-D fashion show this Thursday evening at Pier 59 studios.

Did You Know Celebs Get Paid to Attend Fashion Show?

RUNWAY: Acne Fall/Winter 2010

RUNWAY: Acne Fall/Winter 2010 For Acne designer Jonny Johansson, a new decade means a new planet, and the imaginative man took us there with his Fall 2010 womenswear collection. Inspired by his sons’ obsession with droids and clones, Acne Fall 2010 takes the primitive shearling pelts and modernizes them with zipper laden harem pants and some angular metallic bangles. It’s all about the pockets and pelts this season!
