It looks like the fashion industry’s obsession with Disney is far from over. Dooney & Bourke is targeting the Japanese market with an exclusive collection of purses inspired by the world’s most famous animated couple; Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Disney Goes Dooney Tunes. Releases Exclusive Collection in Japan.

With the help of Disney, Dooney & Bourke is trying to make it big in Japan. The accessories label is releasing an exclusive collection inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse to tap into the Japanese obsession of kitsch and character accessories.

Featuring tote bags, wallets, small shoulder bags, pouches, and subway pass cases the line will be offered in two designs. Retailing from $34 – $344, the handbags will be sold at 46 Disney Store locations in Japan. The line also plans to expand their jewelry offering next year, but details are currently unavailable.

Honestly, we would have liked to see the Disney Dooney & Bourke line made available in the U.S. What with Barneys Electric Holiday products in department stores nationwide, there definitely isn’t a lack of demand for Disney in the states. Just ask Minnie Mouse.
