Longtime CoverGirl spokesmodel and actress Drew Barrymore is reportedly venturing out on her own to create her own makeup line… for Walmart. The 37-year old new mom has long been a makeup spokesperson, but this is the first time the actress will venturing into the world of celebrity-makeup marketing
Most actresses have their own fragrance or clothing line by now, but not Drew Barrymore. Well that was at least until recently. Reportedly after the longtime CoverGirl‘s contract with the budget beauty retailer expires in January, the former face will be branching out to create her own collaboration with Walmart.
Drew is no stranger to selling makeup. She has been working with CoverGirl since 2007 and had a brief stint as a face of Lançome. She was deeply involved within the direction and campaign planning with CoverGirl, giving her a leg up in beauty marketing. Her new line will be the first made from scratch beauty line for mass retailer Walmart and is slated to debut next year, while she is hard at work to produce with the Italian cosmetics supplier Intercos.
Drew’s about to prove that she can market and create makeup just as well as she can wear it. The 37-year old actress is balancing these reports of her own makeup line with a new baby, a part-time career as a photographer, and her own line of “Barrymore” pinot grigio. While her last movie Big Miracle came out last February, it looks as if the actress has nothing on her plate film-wise at the moment, leaving all of her free time to pursue the makings of the greatest girl’s night in ever. With lots of makeup and wine to spare.
