Still in the throes of her Passion for “Judas”, I was caught unawares by Lady Gaga‘s latest video for “The Edge of Glory.” Most disarming is the video’s scaled-down approach; a decidedly less opulent production than her last two videos. Let’s see, there’s only one outfit – Versace (yet another surprise: nary a Mugler in sight), no throng of dancers and a simple set with only recently hospitalized E. Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons present. The song and accompanying video are a little Pat Benatar meets Samantha Fox with Gags’ usual helping of Madonna. Check out Gaga’s latest after the jump!

Story by Lester Brathwaite

I was center square from 1969 to 1978, during which I perfected the art of the zing as well as a crippling cocaine addiction. Bea Arthur was responsible for both. @LesFabian lester at fashionindie.com
