Gwyneth Paltrow Raises J.Crew Traffic Eight Percent
Usually we only see this type of increase when Michelle Obama wears this brand, but this time it’s Gwyneth Paltrow. The Most Stylish Woman in the World has teamed up with J.Crew, and the retailer witnessed an 8% jump in traffic.
J. Crew has collaborated with brands like Creatures of the Wind, Joseph Altuzarra and Manolo Blahnic in the past, but Ms. Paltrow is a special case. She was selected as a “style influencer” for J. Crew and styled an eight-look editorial for her site Goop. Obviously something worked because jcrew.com saw an immediate 8% jump in traffic.
When asked about J.Crew, Paltrow said, “I have loved J.Crew ever since I bought my first grey, oversized rollneck sweater out of the catalog in 1992 (I wish I still had it). Great clothes, great price point. This week, we choose our faves for fall from J.Crew.”
It looks like the famous actress is beginning to influence fashion more than just looking flawless in a ball gown at the Oscars. Goop is proving to be an impressive website and we could all take a pointer or two from Gwyneth over here. We already have four drafts of our fan letter written.
