Jason Wu Was the Talk of the Town During NYFW
A recently published report by social media marketing agency Attention ranks the most “talked” about designers during New York Fashion Week based on social media interactions and Jason Wu comes strutting in at the top spot.
Wu was responsible for 16% of interactions, thanks in part to his pairing with Nordstrom to live-stream his runway show and host a “live” trunk show where customers could pre-order from his fall collection.
Marc Jacobs comes in at a respectable second place with 14% of interactions, followed by Diane von Furstenberg and Michael Kors, both at 12%.
Fashion magazines had the biggest influence in driving the social media conversation, with a 27% stake, followed by bloggers at 25%, “fashion influencers” — whatever the hell that means — at 19%, online publications at 18% and the lowly editor at 11%. [WWD]
