Thanks to our friends at People Mag and the New York Post, we’ve got all the confirmed details from yesterday’s Kardashian wedding extravaganza. Most shocking part: the couple is estimated to have spent made $18 million yesterday! Let’s break it down:
$15 million paycheck for the two-part TV special entitled “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” (airs in October)
$2.5 million paycheck from People for selling the rights to their wedding photos
$300,000 paycheck from People for the rights to their exclusive engagement announcement
Undisclosed paycheck from OK! for the rights to their bridal shower pictures
Undisclosed fee for throwing their bachelorete party at Tao
And we haven’t even started on the list of luxury goods the couple got for free. That estimated $650,000 of product breaks down to:
Her three Vera Wang wedding dresses
The elaborate Lehr & Black invitations
The Hansen’s Bakery wedding cake
The Perrier Jouet champagne
Hair & makeup services
The couple is also said to have gotten a significant discount on her $2 million engagement ring and their $1 million wedding bands by close friend Lorraine Schwartz.
No one knows whether they paid for the rental of the Sotto Il Monte estate, the $2 million worth of flowers that filled it, the Kobe beef burgers and caviar served, the performances by Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind & Fire, and their NYC after party at Capitale.
Somewhat speechless at the above stats, I have to give Kris Jenner props for becoming such a ring master of sponsorships and whoring out her family to pop culture. Not sure why, but it’s like I’ve smoked the Kardashian crack pipe and find myself wanting to know more. What do you guys think?
