Singer Lana Del Rey was the name on everybody’s lips last January as the internet sensation historically bombed her performance on Saturday Night Live, but the pop culture scandal apparently cannot keep the 25-year old singer down. After signing with Next model management, we reported rumors of Lana’s Fall/Winter campaign for H&M. Now you can view songstress’s spread in its full glamorous entirety.
Flying in on the coattails of the David Beckham statue takeover, Lana Del Rey is the Swedish budget retailer’s latest spokesmodel. In the big-haired singer’s snapshots, you can see her rocking her signature dagger nails with lots winged eyeliner wearing H&M’s latest line featuring angora knits and tweed dresses. The singer is slated to re-release her album Born to Die in November with seven new tracks (four of which have already leaked) and while Lana isn’t impersonating Jackie Onassis, she’s also lending her voice to a music video for the brand where she sings a cover of Blue Velvet.
Shot by photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the latest campaign makes the budget retailer look surprisingly expensive. The music video is slated to appear online on September 19 and until it drops we’ll be perfecting our cat-eye makeup and sticking on some pointed false nails to prepare ourselves.
