Last month, French label Lanvin showed you there their Fall/Winter 2012 campaign that featured “real-life” people instead of models. Then we showed you what those “real-life” models looked like in real-life. Now they’ve unleashed their campaign video in which you hear what those “models” actually sound like. Peep the new release after the jump.
The Lanvin Fall/Winter 2012 campaign is starting to come full circle as they reveal little by little the personalities of their “real-life” models. The images that were released for the campaign only scratched the surface as their campaign video features each of the models chatting about some unrelated subject.
Two younger models says “like” like, a lot and another collects salt and pepper shakers. These individuals that Lanvin selected are multi-faceted people like you and me, unlike 14-year old rail thin models who are dressed like they’re 25 that over saturate the fashion industry today. They will creepily tell you how much they love to eat frozen blueberries and some will struggle to compare themselves to James Bond. Another said when she was 18 she would love to go to Paris, now the numbers are switched to 81 and she is shooting the Lanvin campaign.
At the end of the day, whether these individuals have a future career in modeling is yet to be determined, but the stories of their life bring a sense of personality and character to the clothes that a traditional model never could and we’re thankful for that.
