Lindsay Lohan‘s return to screen is a highly anticipated event. While we’re all on the edge of our seats to see if the finished product is going to be as big of a train wreck as the filming, Salvador Perez Jr. dishes on Liz and Dick costuming secrets. Turns out the entire film’s wardrobe was valued at just three of Lindsay’s unpaid Chateau Marmont bills

The Liz and Dick Costumes Were Bought on a Serious Budget

Shot in just 21 days, the Lindsay Lohan revival film Liz and Dick had a costume budget of only $155,000. Costume designer Salvador Perez Jr. revealed to MSN Living that he had to make a lot of deals to keep the budget under wraps.

A majority of the budget went to recreating the jewelry that was featured in the film. Salvador elaborates stating that, “You have to use the authentic thing, I mean the movie is about Liz and her glamour so how can you skimp on that? If I had not gotten the discounts, if I had to pay for everything, it would have been half a million dollars“.

While Lindsay did not have the final say when it came to the wardrobe selections in the film, she did have lots of opinions and memorized her lines front and back. So who knows, maybe her producers were overreacting when they called the police on her whilst she took a deep nap during the filming. But if we know anything about Lohan, she’ll never remain out of the spotlight for long.

Lindsay surprisingly has another movie coming out after Liz and Dick. Costarring with the porn star James Deen, Lindsay Lohan stars in The Canyons. Check out the grindhouse-esque trailer here.
