At this point, having a red sole on the bottom of your shoe is almost as sexy as wearing a short dress or a low cut top. In the third annual competition created by Footwear News and Saks Fifth Avenue, voters online chose Christian Louboutin as their number one Sexiest Shoe

What a Shocker, Christian Louboutin Voted Sexiest Shoe

This year at Saks Fifth Avenue, Christian Louboutin has been voted the number one Sexiest Shoe. From Sept 27th to Oct 11th voters chose their number one pick from 25 finalists. Selected by the editors of Footwear News, the finalists included Manolo Blahnik, Christian Dior, Nicholas Kirkwood, Gucci, Tabitha Simmons, and others.

The style that took second place was a pair of burgundy Stuart Weitzman pumps with a metallic stiletto, third was a pair of black suede sandals by Jimmy Choo, and a pair of studded over the knee boots by B Brian Atwood rounded out the top four.

The winning Louboutin won a feature on the cover of Sexy Shoes print magazine that was distributed at various Saks locations. Last year a pair of Valentino pumps took home the big prize, but Louboutin took back its former title that it was given in 2010.

Now that the word Louboutin is synonymous with with sex appeal, it appears as if the general public agrees as well. Louboutin holds the throne until next year, but it is up to the designers to try and out sexy this latest style. We’ll see who steps up to the task and until then, we’re going to pretend to walk around in these shoes in our lingerie until James Bond is desperate to take us to bed.

If you think Christian Louboutin’s shoes are sexy, then check out these three dashing male editors try on men’s styles by Louboutin at the first men’s boutique located in the Meatpacking District of New York City.
